TEC-Carrier Heiress Mary Ann Mungo Speaks Out On Rudy Fratto

I received a frantic call sometime in July of 2009 from TEC-Carrier Heiress Mary Ann Mungo, requesting that I meet with her at one of our little Oak Brook hideaways. Mary Ann, a long time acquaintance of mine, had recently extended me some financial aid to cover some research expenses regarding my civil RICO complaint against Rudy Fratto and others. For this reason, among countless others, I was more than happy to meet with her.

I thought our meeting would revolve around our usual topics of conversation. She often wants to discuss her ex-husband and her intense wish to expose him as an evil-doer, or her role in the divorce of Howard Bernick and Carol Lavin Bernick, of Alberto-Culver Company (as a side note, the complete story on the Bernick divorce should be published soon).

So it was to my great surprise that Mary Ann instead wished to talk about the FBI.

Evidently the FBI recently visited her home and summoned her to a federal grand jury that was purportedly convened to investigate Rudy Fratto. Apparently, Mary Ann introduced her ex-boyfriend, Mike Posner (owner of Excelsior, the Aruba-based casino where Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway was last seen alive), to Rudy Fratto years ago. Posner and Fratto decided to partner in a check processing venture. According to Mary Ann, the FBI was seeking information about this venture in the hopes that it could lead to tax evasion charges for Fratto.

I was excited to hear this because I felt that the FBI investigation into Fratto could inadvertently uncover proof of Fratto’s extortion of me. Without getting too specific into the matter here, long ago I had conversations with Fratto about his accounts with Midwest Bank and the details of exchange greatly support my gut feeling.

Mary Ann and I drove around in her car discussing these matters. We went to pick up her son and his friend from a golf lesson, when by sheer coincidence we saw Rudy Fratto driving in his SUV. Mary Ann wanted to confront Rudy, immediately moving to chase him down.

Unfortunately, just as she gained on him, I advised her that I am afraid of him due to my pending civil case. Rudy noticed her and waved, but luckily he failed to see me. She turned around and drove in the opposite direction. We finished our visit at her Darien home, after which she returned me to my car in Oak Brook.

Mary Ann informed me that she, “plans to tell the truth” when she appears before the grand jury. She emphasized that “Rudy Fratto is going down,” and “Rudy will not get away with complicating Mike Posner’s life.” I commended her and told her that she should definitely tell the truth. Mary Ann explained to me that she is in good hands, especially now that Posner sent her a good lawyer to advise her.

Still though, I do worry about her. As publisher of KTF Media Group, I have elected to use my pulpit to send a sincere message to Mary Ann:

For the love of your young children, please be careful Mary Ann! I know that you have informed others about your date with the grand jury. Rudy Fratto is likely aware of what happened, so please be cautious. Rudy Fratto is a very dangerous man!
